New Method Enhances Accuracy of Millimeter-Wave Absorber Measurements for CMB Telescopes
Researchers have developed a new method for measuring the reflectance of millimeter-wave absorbers, which is crucial for improving the accuracy of wide field-of-view telescopes used in cosmic microwave background (CMB) observations. The study, titled "Planar near-field measurements of specular and diffuse reflection of millimeter-wave absorbers," was conducted by Fumiya Miura, Hayato Takakura, Yutaro Sekimoto, Junji Inatani, Frederick Matsuda, Shugo Oguri, and Shogo Nakamura.
The study's findings are expected to contribute to the development of more accurate and reliable telescopes for CMB observations, enhancing our understanding of the universe's early stages.
